When I founded "Etablissements WALYS," before renaming it "CHARCOMEM," I was young, and especially driven by a great desire to set up my own company.
When CHARCOMEM started operatingin a steady pace, I realized that it was not enough to start a business, but that it was necessary to sustain it. .
This led me to reflect on the key elements to sustain an enterprise. Then, I told myself that if I had to sum up these elements in two words, what could these words be?
For me, it was commitment and innovation.
Commitment is the grit that allows us to always stay close to our customers, to support them in the success of their projects by making every effort to meet our commitments as regards quality, deadlines, service, etc.
Innovation helps us anticipate changes in customers’ needs and requirements so as to organize ourselves to better serve them.
Therefore, I have made it a priority to inculcate these concepts in the company.
Starting with only a dozen personnel in the beginning, CHARCOMEM has at present about 250 employees, all of whom play a role in the firm’s current performance and continue to demonstrate an exemplary level of professionalism.
Hence, our development strategy is very simple: on the one hand, strengthen and retain our current customers through a process of continuous improvement; on the other hand, diversify our business landi- scape in order to broaden our scope of intervention.
With this in mind, CHARCOMEM intends to continue and accelerate the modernization of its machinery with the aim of acquiring the most advanced technologies to offer the most efficient services. Our goal is to be a major, essential player in the field of steel construction.
